As a kid, I remember leaning my head off of the ba

As a kid, I remember leaning my head off of the back of my grandma's couch, imagining what the world would be like upside down. The wooden beam that holds the roof's structure would become a gymnastics beam, a plank of a pirate ship, a place I could practice balancing on one leg. (My record at the time was 20 mins - oh, I was a determined kid!) On and on, I would go playing within limitless imagination. I still do this! A moment is frozen in time, looking down at the clouds and up at the ocean. I believe my grandma is still smiling & watching me do this. Lengthen (stretch) Adductors (inside of your leg) & Lateral Spinal Flexion (side bends) Standing wide legged forward fold Butterfly - lateral spinal flexion + folding forward Seated wide legged - lateral spinal flexion + folding forward Base:
Lengthen hamstrings Standing forward fold (can bend the knees - looking for a stretch behind the legs) Seated forward fold (can bend knees if the flexibility isn’t there yet or bend one leg to the side) Optional: use a strap to help fold forward Flyer & Base: Warmup with Vishnu’s Couch (See guides for tutorial) 💪🏼 @yogawithrain

I stopped making New Years Resolutions many years

I stopped making New Years Resolutions many years ago, and I had a list of why this wasn't for me. The pressure, stress of failing, hyped up to be disappointed, judgment from others and myself, conformity, and so on. However, I realized this morning that I didn't have a structure or the tools that I have now to make these resolutions a reality in the past. It's January 3rd in Bali, and my phone is off. Open journal, and my pen moves. I write down:

Small bite-sized steps to accomplish these things I am drawing in and releasing from my life. 4 Life Categories:
Breaking up my life into themes. Drawing arrows from them into subcategories. Making resolutions happen takes organization, inventory, self-reflection, and small actionable steps. The little shifts add up into life-altering changes. The most important thing for me is shifting my mindset to Curiosity & Playfulness rather than Fix it & Fear.
